Christmas Page - Class at the Scrap Room

If you are looking to do a non-traditional Christmas page, then this class if for you. I used KaiserCraft 'Tis The Season Collection. Almost all of the embellishments have been altered to fit the color scheme. You will even learn to create hand made flowers from material. There is room left at the top so you can add your own title or journaling.

This class is very action packed with at least 6 different techniques, and 5 different mediums used, 2 of which are fairly new. You will definitely leave not only with a great Christmas page to show off, but will be rich with new information.

Along with your normal class supplies, you will also need to bring a paper piercer and an alcohol ink applicator if you have one.

Class will be held Saturday, Nov 6, 2pm - 4pm

Oct class @ Scrap Room

It's been a while since I last wrote, I haven't done much scrappin all summer and I feel absolutely ashamed. But now I'm back and ready to roll with all the great classes I will be teaching.

A recap on the spring classes. There were three classes held, I will post them another time, but the first class was requested again, which made my 4 classes in the Spring. I have a strong following for my classes as they are growing ever so popular.
I moved at the end of the school year and with dealing with the move and summer and my daughter I had not much time to scrapbook. Now there is cold weather, its back in the saddle for me...and you too. There are going to be some amazing pages for my upcoming classes, using all new product. Stay tuned and sign up for any or all that you like.

I'm always excited to teach a new technique or trick using all the latest and greatest product on the market. I try to never use older stuff that you can no longer find, unless the page just can't do without it. But my class will teach you how to take the simplest embellishment and make it fit the page you are working on, with out going out and spending hundred's more on packages of emb embellishments you may never use, but then my classes will teach you how to make the old stuff new again.

In the October class we will use the Basic Grey Cappella line (pictured above). This paper is absolutely beautiful, using soft earth tones, paisley prinst, and flowers. This line would be good to scrap weddings or most anything formal and informal. Of course I can't help but to grunge it up a bit.

In this class you will learn how to use glass mirrors. Make a formal grunge tag and alter your embellishments to make them your own. We will use several different mediums and end the end an awesome page for your scrapbooking book..

Class will be located"
The Scrap Room
Mt. Juliet TN

Class will be Saturday, Oct 23 11am - 1pm.

Call the number above to reserve your seat as they do go fast.

Hope to see you there.

Teaching Debut @ The Scrap Room in Lebanon, TN

I'm excited to announce my teaching debut this month at The Scrap Room in Lebanon, TN.
First I'm substituting for the original teacher, Lisa, of the "Kids Club" Saturday April 10 from 3 - 4:30. This is a monthly class and is always full. Lisa teaches the kids wonderful page layouts with themes. They all love the class, however, I will be veering away from the lay outs and teaching a cool altered art project for Mother's Day gifts. There will also be a card to accompany the gift. I'm not posting the pic as it should be a surprise, but I will follow up after to let you all know how it went. I really can't wait.

My second class this month is an adult "Tips and Techniques" class. This will be a monthly graduated class emphasizing on Tim Holtz distressing and inking techniques. Some of these techniques give a new look to your pages and they look distressed and grungy. I will introduce a new technique each month using only new lines of paper. This month's paper is Pink Paislee new line. Next month I will be using BoBunny.

The "Tips and Techniques" class is scheduled for Apr 22nd from 6:30 - 8:30, cost is $20. You will walk away with an awesome page layout using 5 different techniques and a card with a surprise technique using alcohol ink. You will be impressed. Pictured above.

If you can't take the class you can order the kit with instructions and either pick them up from the store or I can ship it to you. Just email me and I will instruct you on ordering.

Also, be sure to check out my examiner.com article for the full class schedule for April at The Scrap Room.
